Stunning and uniquely designed sterling silver ring featuring crushed turquoise stones set in a mosaic design. Design of the ring is amazing with a split band of the triangular bezel separate but fitting into the other side by design. It is stamped with a Bell Trading Post hallmark and "PMD". Bell Trading Post was established on Route 66 in Albuquerque in 1932 and catered to tourists traveling on the new highway. They copied the Fred Harvey business model of creating machinery to aide their Native American workers in producing jewelry. The Navajo believed turquoise was a sacred stone used for protection from evil, good fortune, and health. The turquoise blue is very special in Navajo culture resembling the sky and water.
